Rescue

All Profits from Cisco’s Den go to save another dog’s life via DMK Rehoming!

About DMK~

DMK Rehoming originated in 2008 as the brainchild of Deb Brinkley.  After several years of fostering for other rescues, she decided to branch out and start her own affordable rescue for death row dogs.  DMK Rehoming has evolved over the years and is now an all breed rescue that  finds loving homes for death row dogs from many different geographical locations.

DMK was specifically going to be  an Australian Cattle Dog rescue, however there were so many others breeds out there  trying to beat death row that it expanded into an all breed rescue.  We have had Daschunds, Huskys, Chihuahuas, Hounds, Terriers, Border Collies, Rotties, Pits, you name it.  We also discovered that quite often the adoption price is a deterrent and some dogs remain in foster care for a long time.  We now have family friendly pricing and a sliding adoption fee for older dogs and special needs dogs.

So we changed our minds on being breed specific and primarily still take herding breeds, but we take a lot of other deserving dogs as well.  We also decided to adopt our dogs out for our cost or less.  We try to keep the costs at a minimum without forsaking any vetting, as many of our rescues need medical attention and care.

Even though the adoption fee is less for our dogs,  they are like any other rescue dog; desperate for a loving, caring, forever home.  We do home checks, have an adoption contract and supply advice and support for the transition of your new pet. We sincerely want to make the best match between family and dog, and we know this takes some time since rescue dogs have been through so much.

We welcome the opportunity to find you the perfect addition to your family.
